Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has reportedly stepped away from the upcoming biopic based on entrepreneur Ashneer Grover, citing creative differences with the film's team. The development comes after earlier reports had linked Aamir to the lead role opposite Shraddha Kapoor.
According to reports, disagreements over the film's creative direction led to Aamir's exit from the project. While the actor is no longer associated with the film, production is expected to continue.
Despite this setback, Shraddha Kapoor remains attached to the project and is reportedly continuing both as the female lead and one of the producers, alongside filmmaker Rahul Mody. The team has now begun searching for a new actor to play Ashneer Grover.
The biopic is expected to chronicle the life and entrepreneurial journey of Ashneer Grover, best known as the former co-founder of BharatPe and a former judge on Shark Tank India. However, with Aamir's departure, the makers are now revisiting their casting plans before moving ahead with production. According to reports, Rahul Mody and Shraddha Kapoor are looking for the next face for the role, with the preference reportedly being for a relatively younger actor. Two to three top names are said to be under consideration.
While the reports have generated significant buzz, neither Aamir Khan nor the film's makers have officially confirmed his exit or the reasons behind it. Media reports attribute the decision to creative differences, but the production team has yet to issue a formal statement on the casting change.
