From Passion to Purpose: How RANNG by Vandna Is Weaving Fashion, Sustainability & Women's Empowerment Together

What began as a small boutique driven by passion in 1994 has today grown into one of India's trusted names in industry-specific garment manufacturing. RANNG by Vandna, exhibiting at the Bharat Tex Exhibition 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, is showcasing how innovation, quality and social responsibility can seamlessly come together.

Founded by Vandna, the company spent decades building its expertise in garment manufacturing before expanding into a large-scale manufacturing unit in 2020. Today, RANNG designs and manufactures customised uniforms for sectors such as aviation, hospitality and healthcare.

Speaking about the brand's journey, Vandna said that every garment is designed and manufactured in-house, allowing the company to maintain uncompromised quality standards. From adapting uniforms to different weather conditions to incorporating cultural preferences, customisation remains at the heart of their manufacturing process.

Participating in Bharat Tex 2026, she believes, is an opportunity to reach a wider audience and increase visibility for the brand.

Reflecting on her entrepreneurial journey, Vandna shared that despite completing 32 years in business, her enthusiasm for work hasn't diminished.

"I never feel like I'm going to work because I'm lucky enough to call my job my passion."

However, she candidly acknowledged the realities of entrepreneurship.

"You have to say goodbye to work-life balance because, as an entrepreneur, it really doesn't exist."

Beyond business, sustainability has become a key pillar of RANNG's operations. Rather than letting textile waste end up in landfills, the company partners with NGOs that recycle and upcycle leftover fabric. Waste material is converted into yarn or new fabric, giving it a second life.

The recycled material is also repurposed into practical products such as laptop bags and tote bags, demonstrating how textile waste can be transformed into useful everyday items instead of being discarded.

Adding another inspiring dimension to the story is Seema, Vandna's sister, who has spent over 30 years as a government school mathematics teacher. She now dedicates her time to empowering the women associated with the organisation through the "Meri Sakhi" programme.

The initiative encourages women workers to educate one another, creating a culture of peer learning and self-improvement. Thanks to the programme, several women have successfully completed their Class 10 and Class 12 education.

This year alone, six to seven women are expected to appear for their Class 10 and 12 examinations, while others are preparing to pursue higher education—opening doors to new opportunities beyond the workplace.

With its focus on quality manufacturing, sustainable practices and community upliftment, RANNG by Vandna is proving that a successful business can do much more than produce garments—it can create lasting social impact.
